[WORKSHOP] Intro to Standup (ENG)

Enjoy watching stand-up and fancy giving it a go? Been to a few gigs and think you would enjoy it… but a little too nervous? Well Stand-Up Tokyo is offering a 3.5-hr workshop to help kickstart your comedy career! Under the guidance of regular Stand-Up Tokyo MC BJ Fox (NHK “Home Sweet Tokyo”, Okomedyaki), we will run some exercises and games to help get you over the initial nerves and get you up on stage. Expect to write some material, get to know your classmates and then tell some jokes at the end.

The workshop will be held at Tokyo Comedy Bar, so you will have the chance to actually get on our stage. We know how nerve-wracking performing can be, and we really want to help you get over that, so we can continue to add new voices to the growing stand-up comedy scene we have here.

The workshop will be primarily conducted in English! But, we welcome Japanese participants who want to give comedy in English a go. BJ speaks decent Japanese, but in order for the workshop to run smoothly, a level of English will be required!
